Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and grease an 8x8 inch 20x20 cm baking pan

In a mixing bowl, combine the applesauce, Greek yogurt, and granulated sugar

Mix until well combined

Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, and stir until smooth

In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until everything is well combined

Fold in the dark chocolate chips

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs

Remove from the oven and allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes

Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy!
